Description: 5500-7000ft elevation. 8000 acres. Bud Love is the winter home of around 500 elk , 200 deer, and a small herd of antelope. Steep canyon walls line Rock Creek and Sayles Creek. There are mountain mahogany forests on the ridges, pine forests at upper elevations, and grassy meadows on the banks of North Sayles Creek. Hunting for big game as well as game birds, rabbits, black bears, and mountain lions. Trout fishing in the creek and ponds. Camping at Main Gate Camp Site. 3 parking areas; Taylor Pond, South Sayles, and Bud Love South Gate. Wildlife viewing, hiking, and picnicking.
