Description: The biologically diverse habitats at EE Wilson include rare forested wetlands, home to the pileated woodpecker, western pocket turtle, red legged frogs, trumpeter swans, bald eagles, beavers, bobcats and deer. Over 180 species of bird live here or pass through seasonally, but by far the most common is the wood duck.

Besides watching for the abundant area wildlife, recreational opportunities include hiking the nature trail, horseback riding, and mountain biking on the abandoned roads, and fishing in a regularly stocked pond from February to June. Hunting for small game and waterfowl in season, also annual pheasant hunts and youth hunts. A trapshooting range is also open during daylight hours.
