Description: 4300-foot elevation. 10 campsites next to meadows lush with spring wildflowers. The Southern Pacific Railroad tracks go right past the campground, occasionally campers can enjoy the trains as they go by.  Butte Creek is regularly stocked with Rainbow and Brown trout and offers good fishing early in the season. Wading and waterplay in the creek. During the fall hunting season, the campground fills up quickly. Scenic driving on the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway.

Location: From Weed on Highway 97 go 28 miles to Tennant Road, then take Tennant Rd 5 miles east to Old State Highway. Then follow Old State Hwy 9 miles.
