Description: 8200ft elevation. This rustic cabin with windows all around has one 14X14 foot room with sleeping accommodations for two (two single beds that can be fastened together), a wood stove with a flat surface for cooking, a wood counter with shelf below, and a table with 2 chairs. No water is available. A vault toilet is located near the lookout. Bring bedding, linens, lanterns, flashlights, cooking/eating utensils, and water.

Deadwood Ridge Trail from goes far north into the forest. Hiking, mountain biking, OHV riding on trails in the area. Wildlife viewing. Outstanding scenic views.


Location: From Idaho City go north and west 20 miles on ID 21, then 5 miles west on FR 17 towards Banks. Go 25 miles east on the Banks-Lowman Road, then 9 miles north on Forest Road 555. Turn right on FR 555EC and go 3 miles to the cabin.   Latitude: 44.10889   Longitude: -115.70333
