Description: The Fifteenmile Wild and Scenic River protects 22.2 miles of Fifteenmile Creek from its headwaters in the Badger Creek Wilderness to the forest boundary. The entire area, including diverse old-growth forest is protected as Fifteenmile Creek National Recreation Area.

This is a popular mountain biking and hiking area. Trail # 457 follows the river toward the north, and Trail# 456 branches off to follow the north bank of the river.


Location: From Dufur, take Forest Road 44 to the junction with FR 4420 (signed as Lookout Mountain and/or Flag Point). Stay on FR 4420 as it turns into FR 2730, and turn at the sign on the left for Fifteenmile Creek Forest Camp.
