Description: The 13.5-mile segment of Fish Creek from its headwaters to the confluence with the Clackamas River is protected for its recreational value.

The Clackamas River Trail parallels Forest Road 54. Clackamas River Trail is a challenging, 15.6-mile round-trip hike. Many small waterfalls and cascades line this trail along the Clackamas River. The most notable is the beautiful 100-foot high Pup Creek Falls. This trail will also take you through old growth forests, clearings, and over rocky outcroppings along the river bank.


Location: Access from Forest Road 54 and FR 5440 south of the West Cascades Scenic Byway. The trailhead is just south of OR 224.
