Description: 8.3-miles of Eagle Creek is protected as a wild river, from its headwaters to the forest boundary. The Salmon-Huckleberry wilderness has been expanded to protect this watershed. Eagle Creek provides excellent habitat for steelhead, chinook and coho salmon, as well as wild cutthroat trout. Mule deer and black bears find winter range in the lower canyons.

Location: From Estacada, go south on OR 224 to Promontory Park, then go north on Forest Road 4610.Go north (left) on FR 4613, then east (right) on FR 4614 to the wilderness boundary. A traihead for Trail #504 leads to the headwaters of Eagle Creek, and follows the north bank out of the forest.
