Description: The picnic area has many accessible picnic tables, barbecue grills, potable water, one shelter, and restrooms with flush toilets. The site also serves as a trail head for the Eagle Creek Trail #440, the Gorge Trail #400 and the Wauna Viewpoint Trail #402.

An overlook allows visitors to watch the inbound salmon and steelhead climb the fish ladders, during their annual returns.


Location: East of Portland, take exit #41 from I-84 eastbound. Approaching from the west on I-84, there is no westbound exit. Take the Bonneville Dam exit #40, turn left at the stop sign and then turn left onto the eastbound freeway entrance. Take I-84 eastbound to exit #41.
