Description: 4800-foot elevation. 2 tent-only sites on Odell Lake. Fishing for kokanee salmon, lake trout, rainbow trout, whitefish, and bull trout. Afternoons can get quite windy on the lake, which is dangerous for boaters, but great for sailing and windsurfing. A boat launch is at Trapper Creek. Trailheads from Trapper Creek head south into the Oregon Cascades Recreation Area. West of the campground, you can pick up the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail, which goes north into the Diamond Peak Wilderness and south into the recreation area. Huckleberry picking is good on this side of the lake.
There are about 6 miles of groomed cross country ski trails here in the winter.
Location: From Crescent, go about 12 miles west on County Road 61, 10 miles north on OR 58, then 4 miles south on Forest Road 5810.
