Description: Dispersed hike-in camping, with two shelters, between the Twin Lakes. Hiking up Twin Lakes Mountain, elevation 5879 feet. The Twin Lakes Loop Trail is a lakeshore trail and provides access to the campsites and shoreline of both the upper and lower Twin Lakes. It passes through
old-growth timber and some openings that surround the lakes. The trail has some wildflowers in the spring and summer.
Motorized use is prohibited in this area. Also, shooting of firearms in campsites and area around lakes is prohibited.
Location: From the Roseburg, go 49 miles east on OR 138 to the Marsters Bridge. Cross the bridge and go 10 miles south on Forest Road 4770. Hike the Twin Lakes Trail 1500 1.25 mile to the shelter.
