The Beartooth Unit is located south of Big Timber, and west of Red Lodge. The Pryor Mountain Unit is located east of Bridger on the southern boundary of the Crow Indian Reservation. From Red Lodge scenic drive on Beartooth Scenic Highway(Hwy 212) which leads to Yellowstone National Park. Numerous opportunities for camping, hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing along the way. Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness is shown on the map along with the forest roads accessing the trailheads for hiking, backpacking, and horseback riding.
