Description: At the edge of the Great Rift, this area supports a variety of small game, waterfowl, and other wildlife. At the edge of the lava beds, this biome is much more arid than that of the lusher forests to the north. Fishing for largemouth bass, and bluegill in Carey Lake. Hunting in season for waterfowl, and big game mostly mule deer.

Location: Just outside Carey east on US 20 to the access road.
