Description: 28 campsites and dispersed camping near a large reservoir noted for good fishing. The campground is exposed to the sun and wind, and can get very hot in the summer. Recreationists are recommended to drink a gallon of water per person per day.

Undeveloped recreation, wildlife watching for wild horse herds, on the BLM lands south of US 20. Wild horse herds can be found around Palamino Buttes, east of the reservoir; in Smoky Hollow south of the reservoir; and west of Malheur Lake. Fees are charged from April-October. All fees collected are returned to the site for improvements, facility maintenance, and visitor services as part of the Pilot Fee Demonstration Program.
