Little Lava Lake Campground, Oregon

Description: 4750-foot elevation. 13 campsites and 2 tent-only group sites are on Little Lava Lake, the source of the Deschutes River. Primitive boat ramp is in the campground(10mph boat speed limit). Group sites hold 12 or 30 people. Fishing for rainbow trout, brook trout, whitefish, and chub. This is a good lake for canoeing, swimming, rafting, and wading. A flow of lava lies along its west shore, dividing Lava Lake and Little Lava Lake. A trail leads around this side of the lake, then south around Lava Lake into the Three Sisters Wilderness, to Williamson Mountain. Hiking and horse riding on the trails.
