Description: 5200ft elevation. 14 mostly shaded camp sites are close to Cave Creek and a grassy meadow. Wildlife viewing. Great birdwatching on the nature trails and in the South Fork area nearby. Scenic views of the canyon walls. Scenic driving the forest road. Forest hiking trail near the visitor center. The sky islands of the Coronado National Forest are unique and surprising. Birding, wildlife watching and hunting for White Tail and Mule Deer, Javelina, Cougar and Black Bear. Notable historic figures include Cochise and Geronimo. Many opportunities for mountain biking.
