Description: The Hood River, one of the many originating in the snows of Mount Hood, quickly drains into the Columbia. About 17 miles of the East Fork Hood River and Middle Fork Hood River are protected for their scenic and recreational value.

The East Fork is closed for steelhead & chinook salmon fishing but opens in May for trout fishing.


Location: From the town of Hood River, go south on OR 35. Fishing access and campgrounds along the East Fork are along this road.
