Description: 17.8 miles of the Collawash has been protected for its scenic and recreational value. The protected area includes the river from the headwaters of the East Fork Collawash to the confluence of the mainstream of the Collawash River with the Clackamas River. Rafters and kayakers love the 5-mile stretch of the river from Elk Lake Creek to river mile 5.5. This segment is classified as a class III-IV(V) whitewater. Fishing for trout in the Collawash and the Hot Springs Fork.

Location: Put In: From Estacada, go southeast on OR 224 (West Cascades Scnic Byway) past Three Lynx where OR 224 becomes Forest Road 46. Continue on FR 46 to June Creek Bridge.
Take Out: To reach the confluence with the Collawash River, go southeast on OR 224 to Three Lynx power station, then continue about another 8 miles on FR 46.
