Description: 20.8 miles of the North Fork Owyhee are protected as recreational (outside the wilderness) or wild (inside the wilderness). Kayaking, rafting, backpacking, wildlife viewing. The riparian zone and canyons support a healthy juniper woodlands.
The river offers class III-IV whitewater.
Location: In the North Fork Owyhee River wilderness. Almost six miles from the Idaho-Oregon border to the upstream boundary of private land at the Juniper Mountain Road crossing.
