Gear up to visit New Mexico's Rio Grande del Norte National Monument
Planning a spring vacation, a weekend or a day trip near Taos, NM? Make sure your plans include plenty of time to explore the expansive Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, which includes the Rio Grande Gorge, with its spectacular confluence of rivers; high desert and towering peaks. Shop our great selection of maps and guidebooks for more information on fishing and rafting the Rio Grande, visiting the different areas of the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, and exploring other natural attractions near Taos.
If you are exploring the Wild Rivers Recreation Area, you can't go wrong with the Taos-Wild Rivers map, which is made from a synthetic, water- and tear-resistant material. If you're planning on spending time along the Rio Grande, The Rio Grande - A River Guide is a must-have, with mile-by-mile maps.
If you're headed towards the mountains on the east side of Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, you'll want the Taos, Wheeler & Latir Peaks Trail Map but if you're going to explore the west side, you'll need the Chama surface management map and the Taos surface management map. These BLM maps show roads, trails, waterways and developed features, as well as who manages which lands.
You can also shop our selection of hats and t-shirts to show your support for preserving this national treasure for future generations. Our heavy cotton t-shirts are comfortable and sturdy, and the hats will protect and shade you even on the sunniest New Mexico days!
