This map covers the entire forest located northeast of Vancouver, from Mount Rainier National Park's southern boundary south to the Columbia River. Special areas covered on this map include the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, the Mount Adams Wilderness, Indian Heaven Wilderness, Trapper Creek Wilderness and Goat Rocks Wilderness. From Vancouver travel north to explore the scenic Mount St Helens National Volcanic Monument, or to explore the forest roads in the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District with opportunities for camping, hiking, scenic driving, fishing, or OHV trail riding. Access the eastern part of the forest from Trout Lake with numerous forest roads, hiking trails, campgrounds, and some OHV trails. From Packwood travel north into Mount Rainier National Park, or explore the forest roads in the area, or hike to Packwood Lake adjacent to Goat Rocks Wilderness. Map shows color-coded federal, state, and private lands, recreation information, roads, water features, recreation sites, corrals, other forest service facilities, place names, points of interest, and township and range lines.
