Call for Artists- El Malpais Community Arts Program
In partnership with the Bureau of Land Management - Rio Puerco Field Office, the Public Lands Interpretive Association is seeking proposals for a medium size outdoor sculpture which entwines history, culture, art, and landscape of El Malpais from local community artists in the surrounding areas of El Malpais National Conservation Area. Artists will receive a $15,000 stipend for their materials and labor.
Deadline to submit is August 31, 2023.
Required Information: Fill out the online form at https://form.jotform.com/232044573095152 Please make sure all fields are completed, as incomplete submissions will not be considered; Must provide sketches and the medium of proposed work; Minimum 3.5' height to fit in 4' length x 4' width footprint; To be completed by March 2024; Include a brief explanation about how your piece relates to the history and culture of El Malpais National Conservation Area.
