Caja Viewing Directions
Join PLIA and the Bureau of Land Management to view the unique annular eclipse passing through New Mexico! From Santa Fe, eclipsing will last roughly two hours before and after the annularity, which will create a "Ring of Fire!"
PLIA is supplying free viewers while supplies last and telescopes with proper solar filtration. The viewing location will be on the Caja del Rio plateau, an area of Bureau of Land Management property west of Santa Fe that has an extensive history and recreation opportunities.
The Caja del Rio is a relatively undeveloped area, though close to Santa Fe. You should be prepared with adequate clothing, water, food, and other necessities. There are no restroom facilities in the area, but it is not far from town.
