From Townsend travel north to Canyon Ferry Lake to enjoy camping, fishing, boating, and swimming. Explore Helena National Forest in sections east or west of Townsend. Recreation includes camping, picnicking, 4W driving forest roads and scenic driving. South of Townsend follow the Missouri River, watch for the campgrounds and fishing access sites.
