From Yreka travel north to the Wild and Scenic Klamath River in the Klamath National Forest, follow the river west with opportunities for camping, fishing, hiking, paddling, and floating the river. Explore another section of the forest east of Yreka, and visit Shasta Valley Wildlife area or Butte Valley Wildlife Area at Meiss Lake; camping, hiking, fishing, and hand launch paddle boating possible at either one.
