The forest sections surround Helena and are easily accessed from Helena MT. Enjoy scenic driving on forest roads, camping, hiking, OHV riding, wildlife viewing, and fishing. Map shows Canyon Ferry Lake and the recreation sites, with camping, boating, and fishing popular activities. For a quieter experience try backpacking, hiking, or horse riding in Gates of the Mountains Wilderness or Scapegoat Wilderness. Official map is scaled at 1/2"=1 mile, has color coded surface management, but no topographic detail.
