Darrington on the Sauk River is surrounded by Mount Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and Boulder Creek and Glacier Peak Wildernesses. Numerous opportunities for camping and hiking in the forest. Activities include scenic driving along the Stillaguamich River from Granite Falls, boating on the Sauk River north or south of Darrington, and exploring the forest roads leading to wilderness trailheads or forest campgrounds.
