Burgess Junction is surrounded by Bighorn National Forest lands. Travel two scenic byways; Bighorn Scenic Byway goes east or south, and Medicine Wheel Passage Scenic Byway goes west. Many opportunities for accessing camping, scenic viewing, scenic driving, and hiking along the byways. Also explore the BLM lands adjacent to the west forest boundary north and south of Shell WY.
