• Icons: Each site has an icon showing the most-used type of recreation available at each site. These icons don't change when filtering. When zoomed out, icons are grouped together and show a number. You can click this number to zoom in.

• Zoom: Hold the Ctrl or ⌘ key and use the scroll wheel to zoom. Mobile users should use the zoom buttons or pinch to zoom.

• Site Information: Click an icon, and select "read more" (if available) to see a full list of amenities, contacts, and recommended maps that cover the area.

• Search & Filter: Use the purple magnifier to find a specific area by name, or click "More filters" to narrow down sites. Make sure the area you wish to search is visible in the window and click the magnifying glass or "Show results."

• Suggested Sites and Maps: The list of sites and associated maps below the map window will update with new suggestions whenever you click the magnifier or "Show Results" in the filters menu.

The Public Lands Interpretive Association (PLIA) is a nonprofit agency based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

We partner with the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management in New Mexico and Arizona to operate bookstores and campgrounds on public land sites, facilitate educational programs revolving around public lands, and provide high-quality interpretive information.
