Feb. 24 - Guided Snowshoeing at Rio Grande del Norte National Monument

Join PLIA and Bureau of Land Management staff on Saturday,  February 4th for a guided snowshoe hike of some of the coolest areas of the Río Grande del Norte National Monument! The Wild Rivers Recreation Area north of Taos contains some of the most fascinating geology and wildlife in the state of New Mexico, and here's your chance for a guided outing to get to know it!

Sign Up Using This Link - This is a First-Come, First-Served event!

We have 20 spots open for this hike, and have 10 sets of snowshoes and poles to rent for free, on a first-come, first-served basis. All participants are expected to have water, snacks, and weather-appropriate attire.

There is a $3 day use fee for the Wild Rivers Recreation Area that must be paid, or waived with an America the Beautiful pass.

The group will meet at 9am at the Wild Rivers Visitor Center, see the map below for directions.
